Welcome to my art page. Here you'll find a selection of my recent art.
Much of my work sits between abstraction and landscape, shaped by a long connection to the North Yorkshire environment, which I first visited and later made my home from the age of eighteen. Drawing inspiration from forest, coastline and the North Yorkshire moors, my paintings reflect a deep familiarity with these places rather than a direct representation of them.
Working primarily in oil and acrylic, my approach is largely intuitive, with a focus on atmosphere, texture, emotion and movement. Through layered surfaces and expressive mark-making, I aim to evoke a sense of place, memory and quiet presence - leaving space for the viewer to bring their own interpretation to the work.
