Lizi Patch is a fearless and compassionate director known for her emotionally rich, socially conscious work. As Artistic Director of Young People’s Theatre at Leeds Heritage Theatres, she champions new talent and inclusive storytelling, creating safe, collaborative spaces where performers can take risks and grow. Whether working with emerging artists, staging bold new writing or directing a full-scale musical with a cast of 60 and a full, professional production team, Lizi brings clarity, purpose, and a deep belief in theatre’s power to inspire, challenge, and connect.

As Artistic Director of Young People’s Theatre at Leeds Heritage Theatres, Lizi Patch has directed 11 full-scale, professionally produced musicals for Leeds Grand Youth Theatre, with *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory* set to be the 12th in July 2025. She has also written, devised, and directed a variety of contemporary productions for all age groups within the youth theatre. For Leeds Actors in Training, Lizi has directed 8 new plays, including a series of commissions developed in collaboration with MA Writing for Contemporary Theatre students at the University of Leeds. Her most recent production was Find A Partner by Miriam Battye (Seven Arts, June 2024)
