She supported me through my first steps, helped me prepare for my first National Youth Theatre audition, where I was successfully offered a place. That became the starting point of my creative journey, which has since taken me from LAIT, to National Youth Theatre, to New Earth Theatre, and Red Ladder Theatre.

THEATRE DIRECTING
I am a highly experienced and resourceful director. My directing practice is rooted in curiosity, play and collaboration.
As Artistic Director of Young People’s Theatre at Leeds Heritage Theatres (since its inception in 2012), I champion young people's work - creating safe, collaborative spaces where performers can take risks and grow. Whether working with emerging artists, staging bold new writing or directing a full-scale musical with a cast of 60 and a full, professional production team, I bring clarity, purpose and a deep belief in theatre’s power to inspire, challenge and connect.
I've directed 12 full-scale, professionally produced musicals for Leeds Grand Youth Theatre to date. I've also written, devised and directed a variety of contemporary productions for all age groups within the youth theatre.
For Leeds Actors in Training, I've has directed 9 new plays, including a series of commissions developed in collaboration with MA Writing for Contemporary Theatre students at the University of Leeds.
